We recently celebrated a major milestone – 30 years of successful Kolmeks operations in Estonia, a journey that began in 1994
The event, held at Viljandi Pärismuusika, was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, music, and inspiring speeches from our Chairman of the Board – Charlotta Furuhjelm, CEO – Jyrki Vesaluoma and Managing Director of AS Kolmeks – Leho Haldna. It was a chance to reflect on how far we have come and to appreciate the amazing people who have been part of this journey.
AS Kolmeks Viljandi has grown into a reliable manufacturer of high-quality electrical motor components and precision-machined parts for our European customers. With a production area of 11,000 m² and a dedicated team of 130 employees, our factory offers a wide range of production solutions under one roof, including full stator and rotor assembly, machining, and final assembly.
As part of our commitment to quality and efficiency, we operate with advanced machinery, including 20 CNC machining centers from top manufacturers such as Okuma, Toyoda, and Doosan. We are certified by ISO standards for quality management (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001), and occupational health and safety management (ISO 45001), while also adhering to the automotive industry standard VDA 6.3.
Our factory in Viljandi also serves as a key hub for Kolmeks’s supply chains in China and India, offering competitive supply chain alternatives to the European market. We continue to invest in our capabilities, with recent upgrades to our CNC machines, stator production processes, and energy-saving solutions. Looking ahead, we plan to further enhance our machinery for IEC stator production and introduce more automation to our processes.
The celebration reflected not just our past achievements but also our commitment to ongoing growth and success as we celebrate 30 years of Kolmeks in Estonia.
