We are thrilled to introduce Siim Kauge, who recently joined our Viljandi unit as Product Implementation Manager at Kolmeks. With a strong background in production management and project leadership, Siim brings valuable experience, a positive mindset, and a passion for continuous learning.
Background and Career Journey
After finishing high school, Siim studied Material Science and Marketing at the Tallinn University of Applied Sciences. He spent over a decade working in a company producing central heating equipment, managing projects and various production processes.
Later, after moving to Southern Estonia, he took on the role of Head of Production Department in a company manufacturing ferrous products, overseeing production and multiple projects.
The NPI Manager position at Kolmeks immediately caught his attention because it was both challenging and interesting, offering opportunities to learn and grow in a new field.
Siim is eager to expand his technical knowledge in electric motor parts, CNC machining and automation, while also bringing his strong communication and planning skills to the team.
Industry Engagement and Teamwork
He actively attends industry fairs and maintains close relationships with clients, many of whom are pioneers in their fields. Siim considers himself open-minded and solution-oriented, and he appreciates Kolmeks’ friendly, collaborative culture, where many employees have been part of the company for over a decade.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, Siim spends most of his time with his family. He has two children, aged 6 and 10, and they enjoy spending time outdoors doing sports and leisure activities. He also enjoys woodworking, though it can be challenging to find time for it.
Active and positive, Siim has a lifelong passion for sports, including cross-country skiing and triathlon and he even has a bicycle that has covered over 60,000 kilometres!
He would describe himself in three words: Positive, Active and Helpful.
