Background & Experience
Hardi has been working with manufacturing companies and production management for nearly 30 years. He started his career in telecom subcontract manufacturing at Elcoteq, where he was responsible as a Production Manager for the manufacturing of Nokia mobile phones. It was an invaluable experience at what was then a flagship production site.
After that, he moved into the industrial electronics sector at Enics, where he worked for the first time with our current customers ABB and Kone. Following that, he joined Kolmeks Estonia. After five years at Kolmeks, he moved into sheet metal manufacturing at Hanza Mechanics, which is also now one of our customers. For the past two years, he has been leading a metallurgical plant producing ferro-titanium.
Role at Kolmeks
Hardi’s role is to lead and manage Kolmeks Estonia’s operations. He is looking forward to working together with the great team in Estonia, involving people broadly in the company’s development and growth. He is also excited about close cooperation with our other factories to achieve the best possible results for both our customers and the company.
He brings long-term, international, and broad experience across different industrial sectors, as well as a fresh external perspective.
Teamwork is essential to him. He values two-way communication and involving people. It is important to him to encourage and support individuals to take on new challenges. Setting priorities and understanding a sense of urgency are key, as well as acting accordingly. He also believes it is important to ask questions and to trust your team.
Life outside work
In his free time, Hardi enjoys spending time with his family and working in his home garden, both of which he has had less time for in recent years. He would like to say he plays golf, but managing to play only a couple of times a year probably does not quite qualify.
He would describe himself as family-oriented, a team player, and someone who appreciates humor.
