Spirocombi, magnet
Triple-Effect Separation Technology for Closed Systems
SpiroCombi Magnet represents the highest level of flow-based separation technology. It is a fully automatic combination unit designed for closed heating and cooling systems, removing microbubbles, dirt, and magnetic magnetite within a single device body.
Modern energy-efficient HVAC systems, especially those with electronically controlled circulation pumps, require exceptionally clean system fluid. SpiroCombi Magnet ensures reliable operation and maximizes energy efficiency by reducing flow resistance and improving heat transfer.
Three-Stage Operating Principle (3-in-1)
- Microbubble removal: Flow is reduced within the Spirotube element, allowing dissolved gases to release and rise to the top, where they are automatically vented.
- Non-magnetic dirt separation: Heavier particles such as sand and debris lose momentum and settle at the bottom collection chamber.
- Magnetic separation: A powerful external magnet captures even the finest magnetite particles down to approx. 5 microns before they can damage system components.
Key Technical Advantages
- Continuous operation without clogging: The Spirotube design prevents blockage and maintains constant low pressure drop.
- Cleaning without shutdown: Dirt and sludge can be flushed out while the system is running; magnet can be removed to release captured particles.
- Compact installation: Combines air removal, dirt separation, and magnetic filtration in one unit, saving space and installation costs.
Sizes and Materials
- Small models (22 mm – 2 inch): Brass body, available with universal connections for horizontal and vertical installation.
- Large models (DN50 – DN300): Welded steel body with flanged or welded connections; optional serviceable versions available.
Technical Specifications
Standard versions are designed for operating conditions up to 10 bar and 110°C. Special versions are available in stainless steel (AISI 316) and for higher pressures and temperatures on request.
Installation Guidance
For maximum efficiency, SpiroCombi Magnet should be installed in the main flow line at the point where the fluid temperature is highest. This means typically in the supply line for heating systems and return line for cooling systems.
