A Story of Finnish Industry and Global Growth

First Steps in Finland

The story of Kolmeks Oy began in Helsinki in 1945. By the 1950s, the company had grown into a significant player in the pump industry and contributed to the rebuilding of Finland in the post-war era. Determined product development, manufacturing expertise, and expanding export operations laid a strong foundation for the company’s long-term growth and success.

Growth and Continuity

Kolmeks’ growth has been built on long-term customer relationships, strong technical expertise, and the ability to evolve with changing markets.

In 1982, Kolmeks was acquired by the family-owned Brandt Group. Under the ownership of the Brandt family, Kolmeks developed into a modern industrial group that combines long-standing experience, stable ownership, and continuous development.

Internationalization – Finnish Expertise for the World

The development of long-term customer relationships into international partnerships has enabled Kolmeks to expand its operations beyond Finland and establish new production facilities around the world.

The first step in internationalization was taken in 1994, when production was expanded to Viljandi, Estonia. Since then, Kolmeks has systematically developed its manufacturing footprint and supply chain across different markets:

  • 1994 – Viljandi, Estonia
  • 2004 – Chuzhou, China
  • 2018 – Bhavnagar, India

Internationalization has enabled the development of production and supply chains to become more flexible, efficient, and customer-oriented.
