What Is Vacuum Degassing?

Vacuum degassing exposes system water to very low pressure, significantly below atmospheric pressure, causing dissolved gases to be released.

Water naturally absorbs gases until it reaches saturation. The saturation level depends on pressure and temperature: at lower pressure, less gas can remain dissolved. SpiroVent Superior processes system fluid in small, controlled volumes and subjects it to vacuum pressure, releasing the dissolved gases – similar to opening a carbonated beverage bottle.

The degassed liquid is returned to the system. This ‘gas-hungry’ liquid absorbs air pockets present in the system and carries them back to the unit for removal.

In complex systems, it is often impossible to predict where air will accumulate. In such cases, vacuum degassing provides a system-wide solution, eliminating air even in locations where gas release is difficult to anticipate.

  • Water (+15…+70°C): S250 (0.5–2.5 bar)
