Pump Design
Monoblock in-line centrifugal pumps equipped with Kolmeks motors. The pump impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft (no separate coupling). The pump and motor are separate components, which reduces the pump’s susceptibility to impurities in the pipeline. The electric motor bearings are permanently lubricated and maintenance-free. The pumped liquid does not lubricate the bearings.
Pumps equipped with Kolmeks motors are constant speed pumps, but all motors are suitable for use with frequency converters. The pumps are designed for long service life in demanding conditions, with emphasis on ease of maintenance and recyclability of materials.
Pump Range, Sizes, and Materials
Pumps are available with flanged connections in sizes DN32…DN300, as well as threaded versions in sizes G1″–G1 1/4″, with power ratings from 0.05 to 110 kW.
The range of in-line constant speed pumps equipped with Kolmeks motors includes the AE, L, AL, and AKN series.
Material options for constant speed pumps include cast iron, bronze, and acid-resistant stainless steel.
Materials and Applications
- Grey cast iron pumps are used as circulation, booster, and transfer pumps for clean liquids.
- Ductile cast iron pumps are used, for example, in power plants and as booster pumps on the primary side of district heating systems.
- Bronze pumps are suitable for clean, oxygen-rich, non-aggressive liquids in domestic water, as well as for circulation, booster, and transfer applications.
- AISI316 and dupex pumps equipped with IEC standard motors meet the needs of various industries such as process, energy, chemical, and paper industries. They are suitable for demanding chemical and petrochemical applications, as well as closed and open systems, cooling circuits, industrial systems, and water distribution.
