SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool (EMCC)
SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool (EMCC) – Pressurisation Systems for Cooling Applications
SpiroExpand MultiControl Cool (EMCC) systems are advanced expansion and pressurisation units specifically designed for cooling and chilled water systems. These systems are engineered to meet the unique physical challenges of cooling installations, ensuring reliable operation and long-term efficiency.
Design Considerations for Cooling Systems
- Temperature variations within the system
- Ambient temperature fluctuations at the installation location
- Condensation management
Available Pump Configurations
- Solo: Single pump system, where the pump and overflow valve are designed for 100% of the expansion flow.
- Duo: Dual pump system operated in parallel for higher expansion flow capacity.
- Maxi: Dual pump system with full redundancy – one pump operates while the other serves as a 100% backup.
Operating Pressure
All EMCC systems are available with usable upper pressures of 4.0 or 5.6 bar.
Example: EMCC-D1-5.6 refers to a MultiControl Cool DUO system with a maximum operating pressure of 5.6 bar.
Key Advantages
- Corrosion-resistant stainless steel vessels prepared for insulation on-site
- Highly elastic and diffusion-resistant membranes
- Corrosion-resistant drip trays for controlled condensate collection
- Pre-assembled control unit with thermal separation between hydraulics and control electronics
EMCC Features
- Designed specifically for cooling and chilled water systems
- Closed, self-supporting, sound-insulated construction
- Corrosion-resistant materials: stainless steel, brass, and cast bronze
- Thermally insulated housing to prevent cold bridges
- Excellent control using a mechanical overflow valve
- External, non-pressurised stainless steel expansion vessels
- Expansion volume up to 1000 liters
- Simple installation: position, connect, and start
